Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a programme of the Government of India announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 31st October, 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The programme aims to actively promote cooperation among people of diverse cultures residing in the various states and union territories of India, to foster greater mutual understanding among them. The programme envisages that through this exchange, knowledge of language, culture, traditions and customs of the various states will enhance understanding and bonding among these states to strengthen the unity and integrity of India.
Ranchi Division was paired with Goa in Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Programme. Students of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Patratu enhance their cultural, academic and economic ties by entering into a wide range of mutual engagements with the twin state Goa involving music, drama, cuisine, language, history, tourism and other forms of exchange. Students experience the cultural diversities of Goa. This programme promotes the mission of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Programme and celebrates the unity in diversity of India.
Through this program, students exchanged their views with the students of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya INS Mandovi Goa in video conferencing. Students express their views about Goa through painting, essay competition, music, art, sports and many other mediums. On the occasion of Constitution Day, speech, debate and quiz are organized on the Preamble of the Constitution of India, Fundamental Rights and Duties and Panchayati Raj System. Ethnic Pride Day and National Unity Day are celebrated by the students.
