Community Participation

Community participation is a vital part of Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) to improve the quality of education and create a sense of ownership among stakeholders. Community participation in education can: Increase the relevance and quality of education, Improve access and coverage, Identify problems that reflect local priorities, and Develop relevant curriculum and learning materials.
Community participation can take many forms, and some of its objectives include: enhancing the quality of education and fostering a sense of ownership among stakeholders.
Community participation is important because it links to the interest in democracy, self-help, and political incorporation in the community.
